2023 NFL season, Week 15: Notable injuries, news from Sunday's games

Here are the injuries and news we're monitoring around the league on this Week 15 Sunday:.

  • Arizona Cardinals wide receiver Marquise Brown (heel) did not return versus the 49ers.
  • Baltimore Ravens running back Keaton Mitchell (knee) was ruled out against the Jaguars. Mitchell suffered a significant injury and is likely out for the season, per head coach John Harbaugh. Safety Marcus Williams (groin) did not return and is considered day to day, per Harbaugh. Offensive tackle Ronnie Stanley is in concussion protocol after leaving the game in the fourth quarter.
  • Cincinnati Bengals head coach Zac Taylor confirmed that defensive lineman D.J. Reader will miss the remainder of the season due to a torn quadriceps. Wide receiver Ja'Marr Chase (shoulder) is considered day to day, while rookie cornerback D.J. Ivey suffered a torn ACL during Saturday's win over the Vikings.
  • Cleveland Browns offensive tackle Joel Bitonio (back) did not return versus the Bears.
  • Dallas Cowboys guard Zack Martin (thigh) was ruled out versus the Bills.
  • Green Bay Packers wide receiver Jayden Reed (toe) did not return versus the Buccaneers.
  • Houston Texans safety Jimmie Ward was ruled out with a concussion versus the Titans.
  • Los Angeles Rams defensive backs Tre Tomlinson (thigh) and link-placeholder-3 did not return against the Commanders.
  • Miami Dolphins offensive tackle Austin Jackson (oblique), defensive lineman Emmanuel Ogbah (hamstring) and offensive lineman link-placeholder-4 did not return versus the Jets.
  • New England Patriots guard Cole Strange (knee) was ruled out versus the Chiefs. Defensive back Jonathan Jones (knee) did not return.
  • New York Giants kicker Randy Bullock (hamstring) did not return versus the Saints.
  • New York Jets quarterback Zach Wilson was ruled out versus the Dolphins due to a concussion. Trevor Siemian finished the game at QB for the Jets. Defensive linemen Quinton Jefferson (hip) and John Franklin-Myers (hip) left and did not return. Safety Tony Adams was evaluated for a head injury and did not return.
  • Washington Commanders quarterback Sam Howell was benched in the fourth quarter against the Rams in favor of Jacoby Brissett. Head coach Ron Rivera told reporters after the game that Howell remains Washington's starting QB and the team was trying to "take care of him a little bit." Running back Jonathan Williams (concussion), offensive lineman Charles Leno Jr. (calf) and center Tyler Larsen were ruled out.
