Longtime Patriots director of player personnel Nick Caserio has been hired as the new general manager of the Houston Texans. Caserio was with the Patriots for 20 years, which included six Super Bowl victories and nine appearances.
Denver Broncos hire George Paton
Longtime Vikings assistant general manager and VP of player personnel George Paton has been hired as the new general manager of the Denver Broncos. Paton, who spent the past 14 years with the Vikings, agreed to a six-year deal on Jan. 13.
Detroit Lions hire Brad Holmes
Rams director of college scouting Brad Holmes has been hired as the new general manager of the Detroit Lions. Holmes, who has served in various roles for the Rams over the past 18 years, agreed to terms on a five-year deal on Jan. 14.
Carolina Panthers hire Scott Fitterer
Seahawks VP of football operations Scott Fitterer was hired by the Carolina Panthers as their next general manager on Jan. 14.
Atlanta Falcons hire Terry Fontenot
The Atlanta Falcons announced the hire of Saints assistant GM/VP of pro personnel Terry Fontenot as their next general manager on Jan. 19.
Washington Football Team hires Martin Mayhew
49ers executive Martin Mayhew was hired by the Washington Football Team as their next GM, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Jan. 21. Former Panthers general manager Marty Hurney, who was previously finalizing a deal to become GM, has been appointed to a high-ranking front office role.
Jacksonville Jaguars hire Trent Baalke

Tennessee has promoted tight ends coach Todd Downing as their new offensive coordinator, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported Jan. 29. The team has since announced Downing's promotion, as well as that of outside linebackers coach Shane Bowen to its defensive coordinator position.

Atlanta Falcons head coach Dan Quinn, general manager Thomas Dimitroff
The Falcons fired Quinn in October after a 0-5 start to the season. Quinn notably led the Falcons to Super Bowl LI where Atlanta lost to the New England Patriots after holding a 28-3 lead in the second half. Quinn went 43-42 in over five seasons as Falcons HC. The Falcons fired Dimitroff along with Quinn in October. Dimitroff was GM in Atlanta for more than 12 seasons, drafted and , and compiled a 113-92 record during his tenure.
Detroit Lions head coach Matt Patricia, general manager Bob Quinn, special teams coach Brayden Coombs
The Lions fired Patricia days after a blowout loss to the Texans on Thanksgiving during his third season as HC. Patricia went 13-29-1 during his time in Detroit. The Lions also fired Quinn following the team's loss to the Texans. Quinn made the playoffs during his first season in Detroit when Jim Caldwell was HC but failed to make the postseason since 2016. Quinn went 32-44-1 with the Lions. The Lions fired Coombs on Dec. 21.
Houston Texans head coach and general manager Bill O'Brien
The Texans fired O'Brien after Houston started the year 0-4. O'Brien was head coach of the Texans for more than six seasons and four AFC South division titles with a 52-48 record. O'Brien officially took over title of general manager during the 2020 offseason and oversaw the controversial trade of wide receiver .
Los Angeles Chargers head coach Anthony Lynn
The Chargers parted ways with Lynn after a second consecutive losing season. Lynn went 33-31 during his time with the Chargers including a 12-4 record in 2018 that included a trip to the divisional round.
Jacksonville Jaguars head coach Doug Marrone, general manager Dave Caldwell
The Jaguars fired Marrone after a one-win 2020 campaign. He finished with with a 23-43 record over four-plus seasons. The Jags fired Caldwell on Nov. 29 after a loss to the Browns dropped them to 1-10 on the season. Caldwell made the playoffs once during his time in Jacksonville and fell just short of a berth in Super Bowl LII when the Jags lost to the Patriots in the AFC Championship Game. Caldwell went 37-88 in nearly eight seasons as GM.
New York Jets head coach Adam Gase, defensive coordinator Gregg Williams
The Jets fired Gase shortly after New York lost its season finale to the New England Patriots to bring the Jets' record to 2-14. Gase's time in New York lasted only two seasons for a combined record of 9-23. The Jets fired Williams on Dec. 7, a day after a controversial all-out blitz call led to a Raiders' last-second win in New York. Williams was in his second season as Jets DC.
Philadelphia Eagles head coach Doug Pederson
The Eagles fired Pederson on Jan. 11. Pederson guided Philadelphia to the franchise's first title following the 2017 season when backup QB Nick Foles defeated the New England Patriots in Super Bowl LII. Pederson went 42-37-1 in five seasons as head coach, but a 4-11-1 2020 campaign, which featured a mid-season benching of Carson Wentz put Pederson on thin ice.
Carolina Panthers general manager Marty Hurney
The Panthers fired Hurney on Dec. 21 amid a 4-10 season. This was Hurney's second stint as Panthers GM after returning as a interim GM in 2017 and assuming the position full-time in 2018. Hurney went 16-30 in this second stint as Panthers GM and was 106-32 overall.
Miami Dolphins offensive coordinator Chan Gailey
The Dolphins announced that offensive coordinator Chan Gailey has resigned.
Dallas Cowboys defensive coordinator Mike Nolan
The Cowboys fired Nolan on Jan. 8, along with defensive line coach Jim Tomsula.
Las Vegas Raiders defensive coordinator Paul Guenther
The Raiders fired Guenther following a Week 14 loss to the Colts in which Las Vegas gave up 44 points. Guenther was in this third season as Raiders DC.
Seattle Seahawks offensive coordinator Brian Schottenheimer
The Seahawks fired Schottenheimer following their season-ending loss to the Rams in the playoffs, one in which they scored just 20 points. Schotteneheimer was the OC for the team for three years.
Pittsburgh Steelers offensive coordinator Randy Fichtner
The Steelers are parting ways with Fichtner. His contract won't be renewed. Offensive line coach Shaun Sarrett and defensive backs coach Tom Bradley will not have their contracts renewed as well.
Green Bay Packers special teams coordinator Shawn Mennenga; defensive coordinator MIke Pettine
The Packers are parting ways with Mennenga a few days after Green Bay's loss in the NFC Championship Game. Green Bay also plans to let Pettine's contract expire and not retain him for the 2021 season.
RETIRED
Chicago Bears defensive coordinator Chuck Pagano
The Bears defensive coordinator, who is a former head coach of the Colts, is retiring after two seasons with Bears. Pagano is 60.
Minnesota Vikings offensive coordinator Gary Kubiak
The Vikings offensive coordinator, who won Super Bowl 50 as HC of the Broncos, is retiring.
