Baltimore Ravens quarterback Lamar Jackson suffered a knee injury in the first quarter and was later ruled out in Sunday's 10-9 win over the Denver Broncos.
Jackson's injury is a knee sprain based on initial tests, and the QB will undergo an MRI and other tests on Monday to determine the severity, NFL Network Insider Ian Rapoport reported.
"(It's) not a season-ending type of knee," head coach John Harbaugh told reporters in his postgame news conference. "We'll get more tests tomorrow and let you know how long it's going to be. We'll see. Hopefully have something for you tomorrow afternoon, certainly by Wednesday be more definitive. But it's going to to be a number. You know, days to weeks, we'll see. We'll see if he can go back this week. If not, he'll be sometime after that shortly."
Jackson had completed three passes for 11 yards and had contributed another nine rushing yards at the time of his departure. Tyler Huntley entered the game at QB with Baltimore down 3-0.
Huntley, an able backup in four starts last year, completed 27 of 32 passes in relief, tossing one interception but ultimately making up for the turnover by punching in a game-winning 2-yard run with 28 seconds remaining to move the Ravens to 8-4.
Jackson has been banged up with various injuries in recent weeks. He appeared on the Week 12 injury report with a hip injury and was hobbled by a quad issue during practice ahead Sunday's game. Now, Jackson will have to work his way back from a sprained knee.
For however long that takes, Huntley will be the man leading Baltimore's offense.
