Michael Baca: Lions over Chiefs. Just like he did in Detroit's Week 1 win over the defending champions last season, Dan Campbell goes into his bag of tricks to produce multiple fourth-down conversions and an O-lineman TD, ruining the Chiefs' quest for a three-peat.

Brooke Cersosimo: Lions over Chiefs. It is tough to pick against Patrick Mahomes in the Chiefs dynasty era. But Dan Campbell is right, the Lions are “built to win, man.” Jared Goff doesn’t let another Super Bowl win escape him, and pure euphoria breaks out everywhere outside of Kansas City.

: Lions over Bills. Detroit’s explosive offense is too much for Buffalo to handle as Jared Goff wins a shootout against Josh Allen.

Eric Edholm: Lions over Bills. My preseason pick looks half great and half LOL. Let’s take the great half and bump it up to amazing, as the Lions outlast everyone and win their first Super Bowl. I don’t think the Bills are the AFC’s best team, but I could see Josh Allen getting white hot in January.

Grant Gordon: Lions over Chiefs. Once more to the Super Bowl go the Chiefs, but a historic three-peat is not to be had. History belongs, at long last to the Lions, who will claim their first NFL title since 1957 as they appear in their first Super Bowl and go ahead and win it all. From Bobby Layne to Jared Goff, at long last, the Lions are atop the NFL world once more.

Marcas Grant: Lions over Ravens. Jared Goff, a solid running game and a suffocating defense stop Lamar Jackson to set off Detroit’s biggest celebration since .

: Lions over Ravens. This is easy, as I’m sticking to my preseason pick. Lamar Jackson finally leads Baltimore to the Super Bowl but falls to America’s New Team, the Detroit Lions.

Nick Shook: Lions over Ravens. Detroit finally reaches the big game, where it meets its greatest challenge in Lamar Jackson and the Ravens. With an efficient offense and complementary play from all units leading the way, the Lions cap a magical turnaround by winning a back-and-forth thriller in the Big Easy.

Lance Zierlein: Lions over Ravens. In a battle between the two hottest offenses in football as well as the MVP and MVP runner-up, the Lions Jared Goff erases the memory of his Super Bowl loss to the Patriots in a memorable shootout against Lamar Jackson.

: Chiefs over Lions. The Chiefs make history with a three-peat built off complementary football -- a ruthlessly efficient offense combined with the best game-plan defense in the league.

Judy Battista: Chiefs over Lions. The Chiefs are a flawed team, much as they were last season, and the Lions look more complete and dominant right now. Still, it’s hard to pick against an undefeated two-time defending champion that annually builds toward greatness.

: Chiefs over Packers. Just two teams in the past 20 years have started 8-0 and went on to win the Super Bowl that same season (2006 Colts and '09 Saints). The 2024 Chiefs make it (a) three(-peat).

Christian Gonzales: Chiefs over Lions. Detroit makes its first trip to the Super Bowl with Dan Campbell as head coach, but Patrick Mahomes’ experience helps Kansas City become the first NFL team to three-peat.

Bobby Kownack: Chiefs over Lions. The two teams, currently sporting a combined 15-1 record, have done nothing but fortify my preseason pick of Kansas City taking down Detroit’s lovable group of kneecap-biters.

Dan Parr: Chiefs over Lions. I’m sticking with the prediction I made in August. Chiefs DC Steve Spagnuolo cooks up a game plan to thwart Jared Goff’s hopes of bringing a title to the Motor City.

Chad Reuter: Chiefs over Commanders. The Commanders, led by rookie quarterback Jayden Daniels and an improving defense, beat the Lions in the NFC Championship Game to earn a meeting with the Chiefs in New Orleans. But I'm not ready to pick against Andy Reid and Patrick Mahomes in the Big Game.

Jack Andrade: Ravens over Lions. Lamar Jackson gets his ring as Baltimore ekes out another thrilling Superdome Super Bowl win.

Tom Blair: Ravens over Lions. Luckily, my preseason pick remains viable, so I’ll repeat it here. If this were a regular-season game on the December docket, I would probably swap winners, but the teams are close enough -- and Baltimore’s offense seems special enough -- that I’ll stick with Lamar Jackson and Co. as the future champs.

David Carr: Ravens over Lions. Lamar Jackson caps his third MVP campaign with a Lombardi Trophy, ending Detroit’s fairytale season by leading the Ravens on a game-winning touchdown drive in the fourth quarter.

: Ravens over Lions. The Lions offense does its job, but Lamar Jackson and Derrick Henry can’t be stopped, as they guarantee their place in Canton with a Lombardi Trophy.

Steve Mariucci: Ravens over Lions. It’s fitting that two of the NFL’s most balanced teams meet in the biggest game, where decision-making goes under the microscope. While there will be no shortage of big plays from either side, ultimately, John Harbaugh’s Super Bowl experience makes the difference.

Marc Ross: Ravens over Lions. A matchup between the NFL's two best offenses, Ravens-Lions should provide nonstop action. But Lamar Jackson proves to be too much, capping a second consecutive MVP season by capturing his first Super Bowl MVP.

Buffalo Bills

Gennaro Filice: Bills over Lions. Detroit hits its first Super Bowl, but Buffalo wins its first Lombardi Trophy. Josh Allen's ultimately the difference in a wildly entertaining title bout full of haymakers from both corners.

Michael F. Florio: Bills over Lions. Two teams whose fans have never seen a Super Bowl victory meet in the Big Game. The Lions are the better overall team, but Josh Allen is able to overcome Detroit's advantages, connecting with Keon Coleman late to set up a game-winning field goal.

Kevin Patra: Packers over Texans. It took Brett Favre five years as the starter in Green Bay to win a Super Bowl ring. Three for Aaron Rodgers. Jordan Love bests both Packer legends, lifting the Lombardi Trophy in his second year at the helm as he outduels C.J. Stroud in a Super Bowl shootout.

Maurice Jones-Drew: Rams over Chiefs. The Rams ride their hot second half of the season into the playoffs and all the way to the Superdome, where they rely on their offensive stars and budding young defense to take down the mighty Chiefs. Los Angeles enjoys its second championship parade in four months.
