Injuries and news we're monitoring around the NFL on this Week 6 Sunday:
- Seattle Seahawks defensive end Darrell Taylor was immobilized with an apparent neck injury and taken out of the game on a stretcher on Sunday night. Taylor was taken to a local hospital in an ambulance, but was moving all his extremities and following the game, head coach Pete Carroll said Taylor did not want to be carted off but had to as a precaution. Carroll said the team has received good preliminary reports and the team announced Taylor will travel home with the team. Seahawks guard Damien Lewis was ruled out of Sunday night's game with a shoulder injury that Carroll said was an AC sprain. Carroll said running back Alex Collins was not in the game during overtime because he suffered hip and glute injuries, but does not know how they will affect him going forward.
- Cleveland Browns running back Kareem Hunt did not return against Arizona after suffering a calf injury. Kevin Stefanski said after the game that Hunt suffered a calf injury but that it wasn't Achilles related. Stefanski added that Hunt, quarterback Baker Mayfield (shoulder) and linebacker Jeremiah Owusu-Koramoah (ankle) will undergo MRIs to determine the severity of their injuries.
- New England Patriots defensive back Jonathan Jones (ribs) exited early versus the Cowboys. Defensive tackle Christian Barmore (shoulder), and linebackers Chase Winovich (hamstring) and Ja'Whaun Bentley (ribs) also did not finish the game..
- Dallas Cowboys offensive tackle Tyron Smith (ankle) did not return after getting injured in the third quarter versus the Patriots.
- Las Vegas Raiders linebacker Nick Kwiatkoski (foot) did not return against the Broncos.
- Denver Broncos linebacker Baron Browning was ruled out after suffering a concussion against the Raiders. Linebackers Andre Mintze (hamstring) and Alexander Johnson (chest) were also ruled out.
- The Arizona Cardinals placed defensive lineman Corey Peters on the reserve/COVID-19 list, and elevated DL to the active roster from the practice squad ahead of Sunday's game against the Browns. Defensive lineman Rashard Lawrence (calf) was ruled out in the second half
- Tennessee Titans receiver A.J. Brown was added to the injury report with an undisclosed illness and is questionable for Monday Night Football against the Bills.
- New York Giants receiver Kadarius Toney was ruled out after sustaining an ankle injury in the first quarter against the Rams. Offensive tackle Andrew Thomas suffered an ankle injury in the first half, and WR C.J. Board was carted off the field just before halftime with his arm/wrist in an air cast. Both were ruled out early in the third quarter. Joe Judge said afterward that Board broke his arm. Also, nose tackle Danny Shelton sustained a pectoral injury and was ruled out late.
- Kansas City Chiefs linebacker Anthony Hitchens (elbow) was downgraded to out against Washington. Tight end Jody Fortson was quickly ruled out after being carted off in the third quarter with an Achilles injury. Coach Andy Reid later announced that Fortson tore his Achilles.
- Baltimore Ravens linebacker Patrick Queen exited early with a thigh injury against the Chargers. Running back Latavius Murray exited late with an ankle injury.
- Indianapolis Colts receiver Parris Campbell (foot) was ruled out in the first half against the Texans. Veteran WR T.Y. Hilton was ruled out in the fourth quarter with a quad injury.
- Carolina Panthers rookie receiver Terrace Marshall Jr. was ruled out early against the Vikings with a concussion.
- Cincinnati Bengals offensive lineman Jackson Carman did not return against the Lions with an undisclosed illness.
- Green Bay Packers center Josh Myers (knee) left early against the Bears and did not return. Coach Matt LaFleur said the injury does not appear to be season-ending. Linebacker Jaylon Smith suffered an oblique injury and did not return. Safety Darnell Savage was ruled out after being evaluated for a concussion.
- Chicago Bears defensive back Deon Bush (quad) did not return after getting hurt late against Green Bay.
- Houston Texans defensive back Terrence Brooks was ruled out early against the Colts with a chest injury. Receiver Chris Conley did not return with a neck injury.
- Los Angeles Rams tight end Johnny Mundt (knee) was ruled out against the Giants. Running back Jake Funk (hamstring) also left early without returning.
